HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) analysis is a structured and systematic technique for examining a process plant/unit, with the objective of:
- identifying all potential process related hazards in the system which might both on personnel safety and even on environment and assets;
- highlighting the need for additional measures (either technical and procedural/organizational) addressed to prevent the hazardous event to occur or to minimize the magnitude of its impact.
