Hazard Identification Analysis

HAZID (HAZard IDentification analysis) is a systematic, wide screening technique for early identification of potential safety, environmental and economical hazards, associated to a varied range of causes, and it is addressed to review the effectiveness of selected safety measures against such hazards and, where required, to improve the set of safety measures in order to achieve a tolerable residual risk.

When implemented at the correct phase of the project, possible modifications required to achieve a tolerable risk can have minimum cost / schedule implications and can often prove to be cost beneficial.
